Getting around in Chichibu and Nagatoro

Chichibu and Nagatoro can be accessed by car, public transportation or on foot. 
Those who come by public transportation usually arrive at Chichibu or Kami-Nagatoro station from where many sights are within walking distance. Though, some sights are located a bit further ahead, where a car or bus might be necessary. Travelers will also need to take a train to travel between Chichibu and Nagatoro, as they are located a few kilometers apart from each other.

Getting to Chichibu and Nagatoro

Public transportation: 

To get from Tokyo to Chichibu and Nagatoro by public transportation, travelers need to take the Seibu Ikebukuro Line from Ikebukuro Station to Seibu-Chichibu Station for Chichibu, or transfer to the Chichibu Railway at Hanno Station and continue to Nagatoro Station for Nagatoro. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to Chichibu and 2 hours to Nagatoro.
