Getting around Chita Peninsula

The easiest way to get around Chita Peninsula is by car, but most major sights and attractions are accessible by a combination of trains and busses. Some sights are located on small islands just a bit of the coast, for which a short ferry ride is necessary. Getting to Chita Peninsula

Public transportation:

To get from Nagoya to Chita Peninsula by public transportation, travelers need to take the Meitetsu Line from Nagoya Station to Kowa Station or Utsumi Station, depending on your destination within the Chita Peninsula. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. From there, they will have to rely on busses to continue. For those interested in visiting the islands just of the coast, it takes about 30 minutes by bus from Utsumi station to Morozaki Port. From there, there is access to the islands by use of ferries.

The nearest and most convenient airport is Chubu Centrair International Airport. 

  • by car: approximately 40 minutes

  • by public transport: approximately 1 hour
