Getting around in Fuji Five Lakes

Most major sights and attractions are also accessible by bus, as there is vast bus network within the area. To make navigating easier, travelers are advised to check-out our customized map above and look for the black lines, which signify the bus network's route within the area. Though, easiest way to get around in Fuji Five Lakes is by car. Since Fuji Five Lakes is located quite rurally, it is best to rent a car ahead from one of the bigger destinations close by, if you decide to do so. Getting to Fuji Five Lakes

Public transportation:

Travelers who come by train or highway bus usually get off at Kawaguchiko station, as it is the most central point within the area and provides an easy connection to the rest of the area.

  • Train: it takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes from Shinjuku in Tokyo to Kawaguchiko station. Travelers will have to transfer at Otsuki station.

  • Highway bus: it takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes from Shinjuku station in Tokyo to Kawaguchiko station.

      • One-way ticket from Tokyo (Shinjuku) to Hakone by Odakayu Railways (except for the Romance Car Train)

The hiking season in this area typically runs from Summer until Autumn 

 

Winter sports:
