To get from Kyoto to Kurama by public transportation, travelers have the following options:
 

  • Option 1: Bullet Train:

    1. First, take the JR Nara Line from Kyoto Station to Tofukuji Station. The journey takes approximately 2 minutes.

    2. Transfer to the Keihan Main Line at Tofukuji Station and get off at Demachiyanagi Station. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes. The total travel time is approximately 12 minutes.

  • Option 2: Regular Train: take the Eizan Electric Railway Kurama Line from Demachiyanagi Station to Kurama Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
