Getting around in Kurobe Gorge

The only way to get around is by taking the Kurobe Gorge railway, as this scenic train takes you through the area effordless with the ability to stop along the way. Be aware that the Kurobe Gorge Railway is only operational between late april through November.

Public transportation: 

Travelers who come by train should get off at Unazaki-Onsen station. From there, they can walk to Unazaki station, which is the start of the Kurobe Gorge Railway.

The nearest and most convenient airport is Toyama Airport.

  • by public transport: approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes
