Getting around on Yakushima Island

The easiest way around Yakushima Island is on foot, as it is an island famous for its many walking trails. Though, some sights are located a bit far from each other, which means a car might come in handy. If you decide to rent a car, it is advised to do so from the mainland and take a car ferry to the island.
