The easiest way to get around in Higashi Izu and Kawazu is by car, but most major sights and attractions are accessible by a combination of trains and busses. Though, travelers will have to rely on single tickets or a prepaid card, since no special train or bus passes are provided within this area. Public transportation:
To get from Tokyo to Higashi Izu and Kawazu by public transportation, travelers need to take the JR Odoriko Limited Express train from Tokyo Station to Kawazu Station. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Rental cars:
We recommend staying in Higashi Izu and Kawazu between one and two days.
