The easiest way around Izu Kogen and Ito is by car, since the major sights and attractions are a bit spread out over the entire area.Though, it is possible to get to most of the sights using a combination of trains and busses within the area. Public transportation:
To get from Tokyo to Izu Kogen and Ito by public transportation, travelers need to take the JR Odoriko Limited Express train or the JR Tokaido Main Line from Tokyo Station to Ito Station. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. For Izu Kogen, transfer at Ito Station to the Izu Kyuko Line and get off at Izu Kogen Station. The additional journey takes approximately 25 minutes.
