Public transportation:
To get from Fukuoka to Beppu by public transportation, travelers need to take a train. There are two options available, the Shinkansen (bullet train) and the regular train. Detailed instructions are as follows:
Bullet Train: Take the JR Kyushu Shinkansen from Hakata Station to Kokura Station, then transfer to the JR Nippo Main Line "Sonic" Limited Express to Beppu Station. The total journey takes approximately 2 hours.
Regular Train: Take the JR Nippo Main Line from Hakata Station to Beppu Station. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.
