Getting around in Ise Shima

The easiest way to get around in the Shima Peninsula is by car, but most major sights and attractions are accessible by a combination of trains and busses. If you decide to rent a car, it is advised to do so from the nearest airport in the vicinity. Getting to Ise Shima

Public transportation:

Travelers who come by train should get off at either Isheshi station or Ujiyamada station. Which is considered the starting point of the Ise Shima area. From there there is access to other train routes and bus routes along the area. 

 

Nearest airport: 

The nearest and most convenient airport is Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya. 

  • by car: approximately 2 hours

  • by public transport: approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes
