Getting around on the Kerama Islands

The easiest way to get around on the Kerama Islands is by car, but most major sights and attractions are accessible by bus. Though, travelers will have to rely on single tickets or a prepaid card, since no special train or bus passes are provided within this area. If you decide to rent a car, it is advised to do so from Naha Airport and take a car ferry to one of the islands. Since the Kerama Islands consists of multiple islands, you can also consider taking the following ferry to travel between both Zamami Island and Aka Island:

Transportation:

To get from Naha (Okinawa) to the Kerama Islands, travelers need to take a ferry from Tomari Port in Naha to the Kerama Islands. The journey takes approximately 35-50 minutes, depending on the destination island (Zamami, Aka, or Tokashiki).
