The easiest way around Naoshima Island is on foot, since the major sights and attractions are within walking distance from each other.
Travelers who come by public transportation to Naoshima Island will typically transfer at either Okayama or Takamatsu. From Okayama, it's a train ride to Uno Port, followed by a ferry to Naoshima. This journey takes approximately 1 hour by train and 20 minutes by ferry. Alternatively, from Takamatsu, you can take a ferry directly to Naoshima, which takes about 50 minutes.
