To get from Nagoya to Lake Hamana by public transportation, travelers have the following options:

• Option 1: Bullet Train:

  1. Take the Tokaido Shinkansen from Nagoya Station to Hamamatsu Station.

  2. Next, take a 45 minute bus ride to Lake Hamana
     (The total travel time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.)

• Option 2: Regular Train:

  1. Take the JR Tokaido Main Line from Nagoya Station to Hamamatsu Station. 

  2. Next, take a 45 minute bus ride to Lake Hamana
     (The total travel time is approximately 2 hour and 15 minutes.)

Nearest airport: 

The nearest and most convenient airport is Chubu Centrair International Airport. 

• by car: approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes

• by public transport: approximately 3 hours and 5 minutes

• by bullet-train: approximately 2 hour and 33 minutes (bullet-train available from Nagoya station until Hamamatsu station)

Car rentals:

We recommend staying here between half a day and one day.
