Getting around in Higashi Izu and Kawazu

The easiest way to get around in Higashi Izu and Kawazu is by car, but most major sights and attractions are accessible by a combination of trains and busses. Though, travelers will have to rely on single tickets or a prepaid card, since no special train or bus passes are provided within this area. If you decide to rent a car, it is advised to do so from the nearest airport in the vicinity. Getting to Higashi Izu and Kawazu

Public transportation:

To get from Tokyo to Higashi Izu and Kawazu by public transportation, travelers need to take the JR Odoriko Limited Express train from Tokyo Station to Kawazu Station. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

There are several festivals here throughout the year. Please be advised that the following list is based upon previous entries of those festivals and that the dates might have changed slightly in the following year. Cherry blossoms:

The best time to see cherry blossoms in Japan is usually between late March and early April. Although the blooming period can vary slightly from year to year and depending from region to region.
